The Fast Food Restaurant Transaction Data is a record of sales data for 11 selected restaurants that are part of a fast food retail chain. 9 of the locations are in London, 1 is in Birmingham, and 1 is in Brighton. Sales transactions have been aggregated by volume and value (in £) into 1-hour slots during all opening hours from 26 December 2016 to 21 December 2017, except for the Southwark Street location which includes data from 3 February to 21 December 2017. The sales data includes all types of sales (dine-in and takeaway) and all products.
The data selected sites near LDC SmartStreetSensors footfall sensors (data accessible via separate record, see related content section below) to enable simultaneous analysis of footfall data collected in 5-minute intervals. This was collected to contribute to a project analysing the relationship between retail sales and footfall flow in retail areas across the UK.
