The Family Restaurant Transaction Dataset is a record of sales data from 26 selected restaurants that are part of a family restaurant chain. Sales data was supplied by Dibodi Ltd. The sales transactions have been aggregated by volume and value (in £) into 15-minute slots during all opening hours from 26 December 2016 to 21 December 2017. The sales data also distinguishes between dine-in and takeaway transactions. No records are included for times when no sales were made, or restaurants were shut.
The data selected sites near Local Data Company SmartStreetSensors of footfall (data available seperately, see related content link below) to enable linkage to footfall data collected in 5-minute intervals. This was collected to contribute to a project analysing the relationship between retail sales and footfall flow in retail areas across the UK.
