The SIMD data pack provides 2012 measures of relative deprivation in Scotland for the Council Area: City of Edinburgh (S12000036) at the Data Zone scale. SIMD ranks all Data Zones in Scotland from 1 (most deprived) to 6505 (least deprived). The deprivation scores are also provided and can be interpreted as the percentage of people in the area that are deprived. The following measures of relative deprivation are provided: Index of Multiple Deprivation, Income, Employment, Health, Education, Skills and Training, Geographic access to services and Crime.
